Sarah is a highly creative and solutions-oriented leader with an MBA in sustainability and over 20 years of cross-sector experience managing communications, public relations, content strategy and market research studies for organizations of all sizes.

She is passionate about human-centered stories that create an emotional impact. She enjoys finding where those stories are hiding, interviewing people and helping to draw out what makes their stories compelling, and then creating a plan for how and where they’re shared to ensure they reach the right people.
Sarah works well with writers, editors, producers, designers and content creators. She has written countless blog posts and emails and has been published over 60 times by Forbes, Fast Company, Billboard, MarketWatch and more. She enjoys building relationships and working cross-functionally to identify and meet strategic goals.
Services
Communications Audit, Ideation & Planning
Together, we'll take a fresh look at all the ways you communicate — your website, social media, reports, and more — then I’ll bring my ideas to your team. We’ll build on those insights to find the right audiences, a smart content strategy, and measurable goals. This might also include coaching executives, helping them identify the topics they will write about or speak to as a way to advance their public presence. Again, this would be a collaboration where we would brainstorm ideas, identify topics to explore and establish a regular calendar to ensure thought leadership remains a priority given other pressing responsibilities.
Writing, PR & Content Strategy
Need help identifying stories that will support your strategic goals? We’ll work together to identify the people for me to interview and I’ll pitch the media or write the stories myself. I’ll also come to you with a recommended content strategy, detailing where and how the stories are told to maximize exposure and engagement. This might include collaborating with content creators and video producers or creating design assets in Canva. If desired, I can also use Meltwater and social analytics to report estimated reach and impact.
Landscape Analysis & Reporting
Looking to be smart about entering a new business category or demonstrate thought leadership around a particular issue? I can conduct a landscape analysis that includes secondary research, individual interviews and/or focus groups — identifying key themes and writing a report, working with you to make edits and ensure everyone is happy with the finished product. This could be for internal or external audiences, and be part of a broader marketing strategy. For those in the nonprofit space, it could also be included in grant proposals or reports.
Event Planning & Promotion
Need help planning an upcoming event? I’m here to help from ideation to the follow-up email, working to identify the key themes, thought leaders to include, creating the run-of-show, integrating feedback from speakers, running practice sessions and finding creative ways to promote the event and make sure everything runs smoothly.
